Stories Index

Ah, now for the good stuff!

You will find below all the stories I have written, with some explanation. Do note that I am always adding to this collection, so do visitagain and see what is new!

(Additional note: I do actually appear, as me with no disguise, in one of the stories. It is only brief, and I'm not a main character, but I'm there. I wonder if you can spot me... let me know if you do!)

Please respect my position as the author of these works. Do not distribute them without my permission, and do not take credit for them. Many hours of hard work have gone into bringing you these stories, and if they are distributed without my authorship being acknowledged, then I will not write more. That's all!

FAITH

NEW STORY! My longest story to date! This tells of Laura, and all her doubts, and Erin and her determination. It's not subtle, you can see the end coming a mile off, but that really isn't the point.

THE NIGHT SHIFT

Ellie, who has quietly lusted after her senior Polish colleague for a time, has a surprising and puzzling encounter in the middle of the night...

I WANT YOU TO

A bit of a new departure for me, this one, and something of a risk. Unlike the other stories listed here, this one is absolutely true and is described as it happened. I've changed names and a few minor details, but otherwise it's as it was. I thought it warrented writing about. (And if you happen to recognise yourself - it just means I thought you were worth reporting!)

BOILING OVER

I actually wrote this for a book, but as I was very busy I missed the deadline. So we shall never know! It's a quickie really, a brief encounter between to colleagues who have been bristling with sexual tension towards one another for quite some time. It seems that the 'boiling over' of the title was inevitable...

ALL ALONG

Sarah sees the girl of her dreams in the bar one night, but is unable to get her number. Some time later, though, she runs into her again... but things do not turn out quite as expected. If only she'd known.

RED WINE AND MEDICS, CHAMPAGNE AND MEDICS and WHITE WINE AND MEDICS

'Red Wine' and 'White Wine' tell the tale of Rebecca and Kate, the former being set several years before the latter. They meet at medical school, you can guess the rest. 'Red Wine' is the first story I wrote, and Rebecca is very close to me in many ways. Even Kate is closely based on someone. 'Champagne' falls a few years after 'Red Wine', and follows Rebecca on quite another project..

DIFFERENT SCENERY

'Different Scenery' is not a story I thought I would write - as it runs along the 'straight-girl-goes-gay' theme, which I generally loathe. That said, sometimes it does happen like this, so why not? Jenny works at a club which puts on a weekly gay night, and is more taken in my her new surroundings than she expected to be. I think Kim is pretty hot, anyway, I get the impression that I would fancy her.

MAKING HISTORY

One of my favourites. Helen is a history student and falls for her new tutor. She has no real hopes of anything happening, but is shameless and goes for it anyway. Much alcohol ensues (do you see a repeating pattern here?). This might have been inspired by someone... ;-)

YOU MAY BEGIN

They're not all university stories, honest! I'm amazed that Emily gets through her exams at all, seeing how distracted she is by Victoria. As for her method of seduction, haven't we all wanted to do something like this at some point? Takes a similar line to 'Making History', but what the hell?

WHAT SHE CAME FOR

Well, the publishers opted not to take it, so you get to read this story here! This is the tale of what happens to Sally when she takes a week's holiday, and is as much as anything else a love letter to the Channel Island of Jersey. If you ever meet the elusive Lara, do let me know..!

THE HUNT and WE DANCED

I group these two together, not because they are related in terms of plot, but because they are both different to my other stories. Both are very short and have themes of brief encounters and anonymity. Also, both are far more stylised than the other stories. No names, few specifics, just a brief meeting of... well, not minds exactly.

MY NEMESIS

Becky is introduced to her best friend's new girlfriend, Deb, and they immediately tale against one another. The relationship becomes more and more strained until matters finally boil over. This was fun to write as for once the main protagonist does completely the wrong thing. I still had some sympathy for Becky though; I wonder if you will.

FOUR YEARS ON

Hands up all those who had a crush on an older girl at school. We've all been there, Jess included. But what happens when you get a chance some years later? What a difference four years can make to a girl's chances...

THE LAST HURRAH

Chloe believes that she and Kay have come to the end of the line, and goes to break it off. However Kay is determined that it won't be quite that simple. Written during a significant break up in real life for me, so therapeutic in a way!

THOSE DAYS THAT NIGHT

Nicky, at 17, hits the scene for the first time, wondering what she'll find. Cath and Kirsten ensure that she is thrown in at the deep end. Perhaps not the most realistic story of mine, but one of the most fun. Whether or not this is Nicky's dream come true or not is questionable, I think I would have been terrified. And with a first time like that, who knows what is in store? May yet get a sequel.

FLOWERS IN THE BIN

Devotion, betrayl, revenge, emotion. I enjoyed writing the argument, too! Anne visits Jane, who is spending a year abroad, and does not like what she finds. However, Sara is on hand to play the knight in shining armour. Australian readers tend to like this one!
